History

2006-07: Molle was traded by the Vancouver Giants to Swift Current over the summer and just completed his first full WHL season with the Broncos. In 61 games, the stay-at-home blueliner scored once, added four assists and also recorded 52 PIM’s. He was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the seventh round of the 2007 NHL Draft.

2007-08: Molle quietly went about his business and had a strong season for the Swift Current Broncos, showing steady improvements in his second full season in the WHL. On a much improved Broncos squad, Molle’s plus/minus rating jumped from a -15 last season to a +4. In 62 games, he scored two goals and eight assists and racked up 57 PIM’s. In 12 playoff games for Swift Current, he put up two assists and posted a +5 rating.

Talent Analysis

Molle is predominately a stay at home defenseman, but he's quite adept at moving the puck up the ice, whether it's by his sharp passing out of the zone, or carrying the puck up the ice. He plays regular minutes on the PK and is most often out on the ice in critical defensive situations. He does a good job taking his man out from the front of the net. Molle is very active physically in the corners, though not at the expense of his positioning. Always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Molle is more of shut down type of blueliner, someone who can compliment a more offensively inclined defenseman.

Future

Molle was not signed by the Devils, and will go back into the draft.
