History

2008-09: Brandl played for GV Landshut in the German second league, scoring five points in 30 games.  He spent time on the third, fourth and sometimes second lines with no special teams time. Went to the finals with the junior team.

Was part of Team Germany for the U18 World Championships.

Thomas is the brother of Maximilian Brandl, who played for Prince Albert and Portland in the WHL. Thomas said that Max is a big influence on him.

Talent Analysis
Brandl is a precision shooter, but plays a well-rounded game. Good forecheck.

He's quite modest, telling HF that his defense is "not so good but I want to get better and be a two-way player."
Future
Ranked 75th among European skaters by Central Scouting (final list) for the 2009 Entry Draft.

Brandl told Hockey's Future that he's interested in coming to play in the CHL for the 2009-10 season.
