History

2007-08: The Alaska native started this past season on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL and despite seeing little more then fourth line duty, the scrappy forward managed to finish tenth on his team in scoring. Wallace’ physical style of play also made him an important contributor to the Penguins Calder Cup run.

Talent Analysis
Wallace is a mucker and grinder type of player who hits everything that moves. Always looking to make the smart play first, Wallace is not known for his offensive prowess or his soft hands, but is still capable of generating offense through smart play along the boards and crashing the net. The young forward is fully aware of his limitations as a player and plays to his strengths. Although he plays a physical game and is willing to drop the gloves in a pinch Wallace is not by any means a pugilist.  Not a standout skater, Wallace’s north-south skating is adequate and his first step is alright. Once he gets in flight though he is okay and his smart positional play prevents his skating from being a liability.
